My ˘ENTury

For 1 - 4 players. Age 8 and up. Required: 103 pennies and this game sheet. Place pennies in the center of the table. Flip to determine player to start. Take turns to your right, adding a penny to the stack for each year starting with 1900. If your turn lands on a historic year, you get to read the history as you place the penny for that year and if that year has an "Advanced Question" then you get to try to answer it. See how far you can get through the century before your stack falls, then continue the game from that point with a new stack. It is OK to straighten the stack, but vote each time to determine which player is responsible. The most important rule is all players are kind to each other and have fun.

Variations: break up the century into 3 separate 30-year stacks to get through the game without the stack falling. Add your own family history by adding your birth-year, your parent's birth-year, and your grandparents' birth-year to the list of events in history.  Are you surprised to see where you, or your family members fit in history?
